Alright I have to say my piece of political garble because if I don’t I’m going to scream.
I have been following the story of Terry Schiavo very closely because it is just appalling to me that this even made it to court. It made perfect sense that when the Grassroots Organization I’m a member of sent me a petition to rally for her life that I signed it and sent it to everyone I know (which I NEVER do unless I think it’s something important). I got a reply back from a friend of mine who I will not name but she said the following,
“I know that she has been on life support for a long time. If something like this happened to me I would "only" want my husband to decide. If it was my husbands decision to take the "IV" or whatever out, then I would want him to do it.”

While the issue of withdrawing life support is a messy one, I have a rough time getting too upset with the husband, who I consider the real victim in this case. His wife died fifteen years ago but, because of advancements in medical technology and the stubborn resistance of his in-laws to facing the truth, he's being cast as the villain for simply wanting to pull the plug and get on with his life. He shouldn't have to divorce a woman who died fifteen years ago in order to do that.
Why the Schindlers have any legal standing in this case is beyond me. Terri was an adult who was legally married. Absent a living will or other document whereby she was able to establish her desires before she entered a vegetative state, her husband is the one who has to make these crucial determinations. Certainly, he is in a better position to know what she would have wanted than the Florida legislature or Jeb Bush.
This bothers me because she moves around and she makes noises. The only reason she has not gotten beyond this point is because her husband has not allowed any physical therapy to be done on her. Now her husband who is the one that put her there in the first place is legally killing her in such a horrible way. To beat, torture and then starve someone to death is no better than the atrocities that went on for the Jews in WWII. It would be kinder if the judge just allowed him (and no one else) to put a gun to her head. It would be quicker and less heart-breaking.
Speaking of Jews; what is with the recent Anti-Semitic attacks? I don’t get what stemmed this recent Nazi-like behavior. They are God’s chosen people and what in the world have they ever done to anyone else to hate them simply because of their faith? That logic is as bad as the terrorists who believe that Allah tells them to kill people who don’t believe exactly what they believe. Who gives you the right to judge some one that is different from you? You might as well wear blue contacts, dye your hair blond and de-pigment your skin so you will be socially acceptable to all of the righteous ones who are superior to the rest of us and burn crosses in their spare time.
While I’m on the subject of recent news I became uncomfortably aware of a man named Bob Sommer today. I was really kind of upset when I heard that man speak. What does it mean if I have a, “God Bless America,” sticker on my car? Does that offend you; because it’s meant as a blessing? It’s meant as a sign of goodwill. We thought about putting a yellow sicker on our car but voted not to because we thought it would sound condescending to say, “Support US,” since we are both in the military. Also, I really like Ann Coulter. She has a very one-sided opinion on every issue so I don’t agree with her all the time but she has NO problem being brutally honest when most people would just keep their mouth shut.
(P.S.- I just talked to my mother and found out that she has been a victim of this "movement" having two magnets stolen off her car - one for the Air Force and one for Autism Awareness. My magnet is still there but this is happening country wide now. She thought it would be funny if she could hook it up some how to shock the person who was trying to steal the magnets so they learned their lesson that stealing is wrong...lol ;0) I said she should find a way to wire a camera into the rearview mirror so that when she is in a store she could get video footage of some one stealing it and take it to court to sue bigtime...If only money were not an issue.)
Since I am on an anti-military stint you should take a look at this page and thispage. I saw the first one a week ago and I don’t like it one bit. Yes they have a right to say what they want but they have no right to get violent (and neither do some of the rather violent right-winger posts that came after the photo). They think we are so horrible but they are acting like children. When you really think about it a lot of those kids are probably straight out of high school or about my age (23) and are still very immature and impressionable. Many college campuses have a very liberal curriculum/atmosphere and they could have been easily influenced by that. That still gives no excuse to ignore violence because no party that I know of is all about violence.
I have few words about the second link. I could ask the parents and especially the teachers who look over the letters what the hell gives them the right to let these kids go rampant on some one who is millions of miles from home in a war zone? Can you say thoughtless Bitch?
Anyways, I am pissed which is why I try not to watch the news to much any more because eventually we would end up with a big hole in the TV from where I threw my glass into it ;0) Goodnight everyone!!!

It shows pictures of Terry being responsive, moving her head around and even trying to smile. It says in the video that she only has a feeding tube and is not on life support. There were several figure heads stating that this is simply a case of trying not to, "starve someone to death." She needs nutrition.
Also, it is true that her husband has kept her from therapy for years.

I took journalism in college and high school and it is obvious to me that that "Andrew Somers" is leaning the story unfairly and unbalanced twords the husband in the other article. Did you read any of his other stories? Andrew Somers is pro-death, and anti-american as I see it.

Also, I just found out how big of a Bitch I am because I just checked my buddy list. I just really hurt someone's feelings and I wasn't thinking I was doing that. I was trying to be honest but I have been told several times that I am the world biggest Bitch when I am honest.
